ABOUT:
This beautiful, classic, full skirt falls just below the knee and is knit seamlessly in the round from the top down with a fingering weight sock yarn. Elastic at the waist allows for a comfortable and secure fit. The addition of a peek-a-boo hem provides just the right touch of femininity.
I call it the Everyday Knit Skirt because it has become a staple in my wardrobe!
 
YARN:
Yarn One:
MC“The Autumn Acorn” 4-ply fingering wt yarn (75% SW Merino wool + 25% nylon; 437 yds 400 m 100 g), 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) [4, 4, 4, 5] skeins.
*You can also use: 1146 (1215, 1300, 1376, 1522) [1607, 1689, 1715, 1860] yds/1048 (1111, 1189, 1258, 1392) [1469, 1544, 1569, 1700]m/262 (278, 297, 315, 348) [368, 386, 393, 426] g of ANY fingering wt yarn you like.
 
*If using hand-dyed yarn, remember to alternate skeins every 4 rnds or so.
 
Yarn Two: 
CC“The Autumn Acorn” lace wt yarn (70% mohair + 30% silk; 46 yds/42 m/10 g), 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) [2, 2, 2, 2] skein(s).
*You can also use 42 (44, 46, 49, 54) [56, 59, 59, 64] yds/ 38 (40, 42, 45, 49) [51, 53, 53, 58]m/9 (10, 10, 11, 12) [12, 13, 13, 14] g of ANY lace or fingering wt yarn you like.
 
NEEDLES/HOOKS:
US 2 (2.75 mm), 16” (40 cm) length
US 4 (3.5 mm), 16” (40 cm) length and 30” (76 cm) circular needles
US H/8 (3.5 mm) Tunisian crochet hook for mohair hem section (for hem shown)
 
GAUGE: 
28 sts + 32 rnds = 4” (10 cm) using US 4 (3.5 mm) circ needles + fingering wt yarn in stock st, k in the rnd, blocked OR size needle needed to obtain gauge.
 
NOTIONS: 
12 stitch markers
Tapestry/Darning needle
Length of 1/2" (1.3 cm) non-roll elastic, cut 2"(5 cm) smaller than your actual waist measurement.
