How To Crochet A Scarf With 12 Mini Advent Calendar Skeins
This free scarf crochet pattern is tailored for an intermediate maker looking to play with texture and color. The design specifically calls for 12 (20 g) mini skeins SW Merino DK weight yarn (various colors) alongside 1 skein of contrasting color SW Merino DK weight yarn (100 g/245 yds).
If your stash looks a bit different, you can also substitute this yarn by holding 2 strands of ANY fingering wt yarn together, making it highly versatile for using DK weight yarn or any other scrap yarn alternatives.
Using a US 10.5/K/6.5 mm crochet hook, you will work up a stunning piece that measures 122”/279 cm long x 8”/20 cm wide, though it is easily adjustable if you prefer a different length.
The project uses a wonderful combination of basic crochet stitches, plus bobble stitch variations to build its unique look. It is an incredibly rewarding way to transform a 12 day advent calendar or leftover stash into a masterpiece.
